DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH is a DB AG company and, with around 3,500 employees, provides construction services primarily for railroad infrastructure companies (EIU). As a certified waste management company, TE Umwelt & Ressourcenschutz in particular accepts concrete sleepers from the DB Netz AG rail network at six locations throughout Germany.
Some of the used concrete sleepers delivered can be reconditioned and reused for the DB Netz AG rail network or for industrial sidings.
A semi-automatic reconditioning plant is to be set up for the reconditioning of concrete sleepers of types B70 and B90. The contractor's scope of work includes planning, design, manufacture, delivery, installation, commissioning, trial operation and final acceptance of the mechanical equipment for a concrete sleeper reconditioning plant (BSAA).
This specification describes the functional requirements for a plant for reconditioning and testing concrete sleepers at the Hanover-Leinhausen site. Various work stations and production steps are to be integrated. It contains the mechanical engineering part of the delivery of the turnkey plant and serves the supplier for detailed tendering.
The reconditioning includes the following work steps:
- Dismantling
- Cleaning of the sleepers and quality inspection
- Dowel removal
- Dowel installation
- Bead dimension measurement (electronically and\/ or by hand)
- Plating
- Screwing the sleeper screws to the pre-assembly position
- Marking the concrete sleepers (factory & date)
- Measuring the prepared concrete sleeper
- Preparing the sleeper bolts with Elaskon
The scope of delivery also includes the complete conveyor technology including storage for concrete sleepers, the system control and a worker guidance system, extraction equipment, lighting, systems for the disposal of small iron, dowel residues and waste, material supply and logistics racks, safety technology, boring tools and screwing tools and other tools and aids.
