CALL FOR TENDERS - MUNICIPALITY OF BAIE-DU-FEBVRE

The Municipality of Baie-du-Febvre wishes to obtain tenders (one original and one copy), in sealed envelopes, identified with the name of the project and addressed to the attention of Mrs. Maryse Baril, Director General and Clerk-Treasurer, to retain the services of a Contractor for the following construction work :

Project: Culvert replacement near 40 chemin du Pays-Brûlé

Professionals: FNX-INNOV - 3340, boul. Trois-Rivières (Québec) G9A 4M3

Site visit: Bidders are invited to visit the site themselves.

Tender opening: October 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.

Intergovernmental agreement: ACCQO, ALEC

Tender documents
Tender documents can only be obtained through the Electronic Tendering System, SEAO.

Guarantee
All bids must be accompanied by a guarantee representing 10% of the total amount of the bid, excluding all applicable taxes, in the form of a certified cheque, irrevocable letter of guarantee or bid bond issued by a financial institution that is an insurer holding a licence issued in accordance with the Insurance Act (R.S.Q., c. A-32) authorizing it to practice surety insurance, a trust company licensed under the Act respecting trust companies and savings companies (R.S.Q., c. S-29.01), a financial services cooperative governed by the Act respecting financial services cooperatives (R.S.Q., c. C-67.3) or a bank within the meaning of the Bank Act (S.C., 1991, c. 46), failing which the bid will be automatically rejected.

Receipt and opening
Tenders (one original and one copy) must be enclosed in sealed, clearly marked envelopes. They will be received at the Town Hall at 298, route Marie-Victorin in Baie-du-Febvre on or before October 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., to the attention of Mrs. Maryse Baril, Director General and Clerk-Treasurer. Tenders will be publicly opened on the same day at 11:05 a.m. The Municipality of Baie-du-Febvre will not accept any bids sent by fax or e-mail, and any bids so transmitted will be automatically rejected.

Intergovernmental agreement
This call for public tenders is subject to the agreements indicated above.

- ACCQO refers to the Agreement on Trade and Cooperation between Quebec and Ontario;
- FTA refers to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement.

Other
For the purposes of awarding the contract, only Contractors holding the license required under the Building Act (R.S.Q., c. B-1.1) will be considered. Bidding Contractors are responsible for the selection of subcontractors, both in terms of their creditworthiness and the content of their bids.

The Municipality of Baie-du-Febvre does not undertake to accept the lowest or any of the bids received.

The Municipality of Baie-du-Febvre thanks all bidders for their interest, but will communicate only with the successful Contractor to obtain the contract. The results of the bid opening and the name of the successful bidder will be published on SEAO.
