Description

Shared Services Canada (SSC) is seeking a service provider who can provide SSC with automated consumer credit reports.
Security screening is at the core of the Policy on Government Security as a fundamental practice that establishes and maintains a foundation of trust within government, between government and Canadians, and between Canada and other countries.
Security screening involves the collection of personal information from individuals, with their informed consent, and information from law enforcement and intelligence sources and other sources and methods to assess an individual's reliability and loyalty to Canada.
In accordance with the Policy on Government Security (PGS) and Standard on Security Screening, thorough soft-inquiry credit reports are conducted in order to ensure that security screening is completed for current and new employees, and external consultants, contractors, subcontractors and temporary workers from Personnel agencies. The SSC conducts an average of 2400 reports per year.
