Description

The new construction of the planned 3-field sports hall as a replacement of the Hermann-Gieseler-Halle takes over the functions of a sports hall for multifunctional school, club and competition sports use with a max. spectator capacity of 1048. The 3-field sports hall measures approx. 62 m x 44 m and comprises 2 storey levels. On the spectator level are the spectator stands, the main entrance with foyer, a VIP area and other functional rooms such as toilets and checkrooms. The sportsmen's level houses the actual sports area including changing rooms and showers, trainer and teacher rooms as well as technical and storage rooms. The building will be constructed as a reinforced concrete skeleton structure. The construction project also includes the redesign of outdoor facilities. This includes the construction of a thoroughfare, the construction of parking spaces, the installation of the underground pipes including an infiltration system as well as planting work.
