Description

In the course of upgrading the Bottrop sewage sludge incineration plant, the Emschergenossenschaft intends to renew the flue gas cleaning system of the two existing fluidised bed furnaces. The two new flue gas cleaning lines are to operate according to the conditioned dry sorption process with a downstream washing stage. The new flue gas cleaning lines are to be installed behind the existing electrostatic filters of the fluidized bed furnaces. The two new flue gas cleaning lines are to operate according to the conditioned dry sorption process with a downstream washing stage. The new flue gas cleaning lines are to be installed behind the existing electrostatic filters of the fluidized bed furnaces. The fluidized bed furnaces each have a rated thermal input of 9.9 MWth and a nominal flue gas volume of approx. 26,500 Nm3/h downstream of the electrostatic precipitators. The corresponding emission limit values of the 17th BImSchV as well as the more stringent requirements to be expected from the latest BREF apply. The installation of the two new flue gas cleaning lines is planned as an outdoor installation. The renewal includes the complete machine, electrical and instrumentation and control technology of the flue gas cleaning plant including the necessary ancillary equipment from the connection to the electrostatic precipitators with engineering, production, delivery and assembly, commissioning, trial operation and acceptance. The new flue gas cleaning lines each consist essentially of a vortex reactor, fabric filter, 2-stage scrubber, induced draft, chimney and conveying equipment for operating materials and residues, the common auxiliary systems such as silos for operating materials and residues, compressed air generation and the connection to other auxiliary and operating materials. The flue gas cleaning system must operate without waste water. The water from the scrubber shall be used in the conditioning of the dry sorption. Engineering, production, delivery, assembly, commissioning, trial operation and acceptance of the complete electrical and control technology as well as its connection to the existing system is part of the renovation. The conversion of the two new flue gas cleaning lines is to be carried out within the framework of the planned inspection shutdown without additional restriction of the incineration operation. The dismantling of the existing flue gas cleaning plant is not part of this project.
