Description

The City of Medicine Hat’s Water Treatment Plant is constructing a new Residuals Management Plant which remove the solids from our WTP waste stream.  These solids mainly come from the river mud and silts that is brought into the WTP during the treatment process, as well as chemical coagulant that is used to help particulates settle during the clarification process.  The sludge that is produced in our waste stream will be thickened and dewatered and sent to landfill for disposal.  This dewatered sludge will have a consistency similar to wet clay and can have varying amounts of moisture per load dependent on the treatment process.Contractor to supply 2 trailers that will remain on site for loading as needed, as well as the trucking services for transportation and dumping of loads. Destination for dumping of the loads will include both the town of Redcliff landfill (through Ambipar Disposal Service) and the City of Medicine Hat Landfill.
