SCOPE OF WORKThe Work covered under this project consists of the furnishing of all superintendence, overhead, labour, materials, tools, equipment, insurance, fuel, transportation and all things necessary for and incidental to the satisfactory performance and completion of construction and renovation of level 02 and level 04 of the Operations Building, located at 6651 148 St, Surrey, British Columbia, V3S 3C7 (the “Place of Work”) in strict accordance with the Specifications and accompanying Drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.The general components of the Work include:• The project is a Tenant Improvement for the City of Surrey Operations Building.• The project includes minor interior renovation on a portion of level 02, and interior fit out of an empty shell space on a portion level 04 to accommodate new offices, meeting rooms, and workstations.• There are no changes to the occupancy, occupant load, or exiting as part of this project.• This building will continue to be occupied in the out-of-scope areas while Work occurs. As a result, the Work is to sequentially occur in phases as outlined in the architectural package, with each phase completed and staff legally permitted to move in and occupy the space before commencing with subsequent phases.INFORMATION MEETINGAn information meeting will be hosted by the City Representative to discuss the City’s requirements under this RFQ (the “Information Meeting”). While attendance is at the discretion of Contractors, Contractors who do not attend will be deemed to have attended the Information Meeting and to have received all of the information given at the Information Meeting.At the time of issuance of this RFQ a meeting has been scheduled as follows:Date: November 6, 2024Time: 11:00 amLocation: Surrey Operations Centre6651 148 St, Surrey, BC V3S 3C7*Meet inside main lobbyADDENDAIf the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.caand the City website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form a part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractors to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.All inquiries related to this RFQ should be directed in writing to purchasing@surrey.ca.
