Description
1. This RFP is open to all interested vendors.
2. The City of Calgary, on behalf of the Calgary Fire Department, is looking for a vendor capable of:
a) The Removal and installation of communication equipment in CFD apparatus; and
b) The Provision of support services to include support and maintenance of CFD new and existing communication equipment installed in the apparatus or used by Firefighters i.e. mobile radios, portable radios, repeaters, laptops, cellphones, traffic pre-empt systems, sirens and wireless data modems.
3. This procurement process is not intended to create, and will not create a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations.
4. The Agreement will be for an initial Term of two (2) years.
After the initial term, the Agreement may be extended two (2) times for two (2) years each time for a total maximum term of six (6) years.
