Introduction : Country: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) - Dominican Republic Period of assignment/services: 6 monthsDescription of Assignment: "Support in the technical coordination of the National Gender and Climate Change Roundtable in the Dominican Republic "To contribute to the follow-up of the planned and ongoing initiatives of the National Gender and Climate Change Roundtable, the services and hiring of a consultant with strong technical and coordination skills are required.General Objective:To contribute to the development, monitoring and progress of the initiatives of the National Gender and Climate Change Roundtable, promoting inter-institutional and inter-sectoral collaboration and the exchange of best practices in the area of gender and climate change, as well as facilitating and strengthening the implementation of the Gender and Climate Change Action Plan (PAGCC-RD) in the Dominican Republic through technical support and effective coordination.Contribute to the development, follow-up and advancement of the initiatives of the National Gender and Climate Change Roundtable.3. Promote gender mainstreaming in climate action: Support the National Gender and Climate Change Roundtable in the integration of gender-sensitive approaches in various sectors (Agriculture, Forestry, Health, Energy, Water, Transportation), through individual consultancy and training sessions.4.
