Description
Petrojam Limited is a 36kbpd hydro-skimming oil refinery that imports crude oil from various sources. Chemical treatment aims to reduce corrosion and fouling in the refinery’s cooling water circuit, reverse osmosis unit, steam boiler systems, crude distillation unit, crude storage tanks, bi-electric desalter, and the overhead of the atmospheric pipestill tower.
The supplier’s responsibilities include conformance to the safety and security regulations of the Petrojam facilities. They must supply treatment chemicals, laboratory reagents with supplies, testing kits, and spares on a consignment basis, maintaining a minimum of four months’ inventory on Petrojam’s site with guarantees against stock-outs and expired goods.
The supplier must take all necessary measures to prevent stock-outs and ensure logistical arrangements safeguard against extraordinary events that may affect chemical deliveries to the refinery. They must provide treatment chemicals that are environmentally friendly and safe for standard storage, batching, and dosing operations.
Additionally, the supplier must provide Safety Data Sheets and expiry dates for all supplied chemicals, reagents, and test kits used in the treatment of process and utility streams. The supplier is also responsible for handling, packaging, shipping, and returning all returnable empty containers, as well as the safe disposal of any expired or contaminated products.
