Description
The plan is to build a fire and rescue station with sheds for emergency vehicles of the Hamburg professional fire department. The building has storage, technical and recreation rooms on up to 3 floors in connection with single-storey vehicle halls and two washing halls. The building does not have a basement and is constructed mainly of reinforced concrete, with the vehicle hall having a steel roof structure with fire protection coating. Vertical access is via 3 stairwells and various chute shafts. Sports rooms and a catering kitchen are also provided on the 2nd floor.
The building comprises around 5,600 m² gross floor area with dimensions of up to 95 x 40 m on a site area of around 14,000 m². The building does not have a basement.
A 22 m high training tower will also be erected.
The construction site is located in HH-Finkenwerder on Aluminiumstrasse between a petrol station to the north and the adjoining aluminum works to the south, whose conveyor bridge spans the site to the east. Access to the aluminum road is via Finkenwerder Straße.
The flat roofs will be extensively greened and prepared for the installation of photovoltaics, while the facing brick façades will be extensively greened with climbing plants. The building will have various ventilation systems; heating will be provided by underfloor or industrial floor heating with heat pumps and deep geothermal drilling.
In addition to driving areas for emergency vehicles, a 22m high training tower, a sports field and parking spaces are planned for the site. Rainwater and wastewater are disposed of via infiltration on the site, in some cases with a coalescence separator or grease separator installed upstream. //
