Description

Prequalification of contractors for the proposed construction of 72 apartment units and associated infrastructure works. The Housing Agency of Jamaica would like to undertake the construction of a new housing development at 81 Bay Farm Road, Kingston. The development consists of the construction of 6 apartment buildings comprising 72 housing solutions, sewage conveyancing to NWC’s facility at Soapberry, amenities, 90 parking spaces, an underground water storage tank for potable water to serve the residents of the complex, secure perimeter fencing, a gated entrance and guardhouse.

The scope of the work includes the construction of 72 housing (apartments) solutions in 6 blocks (each block will consist of 3 storeys with 4 units measuring approximately 530 ft2/49.23M2) per floor at 81 Bay Farm Road, to include supporting infrastructure works. Further objectives include:

  • construction of 72 housing solutions
  • construction and installation of potable water supply and appurtenances
  • installation of sewerage conveyance pipelines and appurtenances
  • provision of electricity and streetlights within the development
  • provision of paved roadways and verges
  • provision of stormwater drainage system for the development
  • provision of amenity areas, as provided on the approved plans
