Description
The subject of this open procedure is the conclusion of a contract on the pricing and subsequent supply of natural gas (in short: contract). This lays the foundation for conducting short-term price competitions to determine the most economical working price for natural gas.
The Max Planck Society will conduct price competitions with those bidders who accept the contract in the form of a so-called Dutch auction (one price item, the price increases in fixed intervals) to determine the most economical offer for the delivery year 2028 (optionally for 2029, 2030 or 2031).
Of the twenty-four (24) MPG facilities currently to be supplied with natural gas in the THE market area, facility number 24 (MPI ASTR) is an offtake point with a biogas share of 10% of this institute's supply volume.
In each price competition, the entire natural gas demand of the participating facilities in the requested supply periods is put up for tender.
The 2028 supply period will definitely be awarded during the contract period. It covers the period from 01.01.2028 to 31.12.2028 with a fixed total natural gas volume of 90,000 MWh.
At the decision of the client, the delivery periods 2029, 2030 and 2031 can also be awarded under the terms of the contract. The three further delivery periods 2029, 2030 and 2031 also cover the respective calendar year.
