Description
ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG operates sintering plant 3 at the Duisburg-Schwelgern site. The waste heat generated during the process is to be utilized by means of a heat extraction plant for the district heating of Fernwärmeverbund Niederrhein Duisburg\/Dinslaken GmbH & Co. KG (FVN) to make it usable. The sintering plant will be expanded to include a heat exchanger in the exhaust air system. This heat exchanger system extracts the waste heat from the exhaust air flow and transfers it to a water circuit. Further downstream heat exchangers help to ensure that the
heat is fed into the district heating network of FVN - Übergabe Schwelgern by means of pumps. A new switchgear system will be installed for the entire heat exchanger system, including the pump house (own power station). Power will be supplied from the 5kV network of sinter plant 2, from where a new transformer station will be supplied. The planned heat extraction plant is located on the tkSE site in
Duisburg in the area of the sintering plants - directly to the west of the previous exhaust air system with the chimney of sintering plant 3, which is now in operation. The EA-12 conveyor system is located to the south.
The following work is included in the contract:
- Earthworks, shoring works, groundwater lowering works,
- ground improvement,
- Concrete and reinforced concrete work,
- Exterior works (drainage, paving and asphalt works, fencing),
