As part of the maintenance of the municipal sports facilities, the city of Mönchengladbach is planning to replace the worn synthetic turf surface on the large pitch at the Beckrath sports facility.

The synthetic turf surface needs to be replaced due to heavy wear and tear on the pitch. The pitches filled with quartz sand and EPDM rubber granulate were built in 2010. There is a 30 mm thick elastic layer under the synthetic turf carpet which is to be retained and reworked if necessary.
The large pitch has a size of approx. 100 x 58.00 m (5,800m²)

The existing, worn synthetic turf surface on the pitch, including the quartz sand\/EPDM granulate infill, is to be removed and disposed of professionally. The underlying elastic layer is to be retained and repaired in some areas if necessary. A sand\/cork-filled synthetic turf surface with a combined straight\/curled fiber structure is planned. The connection to the surrounding areas must be maintained. After the order has been placed, areas \/ lines are to be precisely measured by the contractor in consultation with the client. This service is to be included in the EP prices and will not be remunerated separately.
