Description
As part of the announced heat transition and the Berlin Climate Protection and Energy Transition Act (EWG Bln), the state of Berlin is planning to develop medium and deep geothermal reservoirs as additional heat sources for the future supply of district heating networks, urban districts and/or industrial plants.
In preparation for the planned 3D seismic survey in Berlin, two intersecting 2D seismic profiles with a total length of around 17 km are to be measured in the east of Berlin.
In particular, the following will be tested:
? The power of the vibro-vehicles that can be used in urban areas.
? The length (~ energy) of the signal generated by the vibro-vehicles (sweep).
? The frequency content (start and end frequency) of the signal generated by the vibro-vehicles.
? The vibrations generated on the surface by the emitted sweep.

? The daily variation (24 h) of the noise level.
? The highly productive vibroseis method Independent Simultaneous Sweeping (ISS) intended for 3D seismics.
