Description

The Quantum Computing for Materials Science and Engineering (QuantiCoM) project is being carried out as part of DLR's quantum computing initiative. With its QuantiCoM project, DLR is pursuing the goal of advancing the development of advanced methods using quantum computers for materials science, materials engineering and industry in order to enable rapid material developments in the future and drastically reduce development times. This call concerns the AMQS sub-project, which focuses on atomic calculations of the interactions of water, hydrogen and metals on quantum computers and electronic correlations in metallic environments. The aim of the subproject is the development of modeling approaches to evaluate the stability of compounds with strong and weak electronic correlations embedded in metallic environments. The tendered services include the preparation of a written presentation of the scientific solution in the field of material science quantum simulation based on existing atomistic simulations of materials and periodic systems, the collaboration in the QuantiCoM project and the provision of a technology transfer. Details can be found in the specifications attached to the tender documents.
