Description

The Bern Bümpliz Nord station on the Bern - Neuchâtel line is outdated. The installations no longer meet today's requirements for a modern railway station. The requirements of the Disability Equality Act (BehiG) and the usable platform length standard are not met. These installations must therefore be renewed by the end of 2023 at the latest (in accordance with BehiG requirements). The project is also to be adapted to the functional requirements of the Bern - Neuchâtel line concept and the Bern S-Bahn for the planning horizon of 2025, with a separate site development ("Bümpliz Nord") running in the immediate vicinity of the station project and managed by BLS Immobilien AG. The largest interface between the two projects is the existing pedestrian underpass, which, in addition to providing access to the platforms, has an access function between the two districts.
