Summary DetailsThe overall objective of the annual pavement marking project is to repaint traffic line markings within the District of Summerland, in both urban and rural areas, excluding roads which are the responsibility of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (i.e. Highway 97).Please refer to the RFQ(HS) documents for more information.Opportunity Documentsbids&tenders is the only authorized website to obtain competitive bid documents for this District of Summerland opportunity. Submission of QuotationsTo be considered, Quotations must be submitted via bids&tenders electronic bid submission functionality or by email in accordance with the instructions in the RFQ. Quotations must be received no later than the Opportunity Closing Date & Time. It is solely the responsibility of the Respondent to ensure that the Quotation is received on time. There will be no public opening.Term of EngagementThe successful Respondent should be prepared to commence work on or around April 1, 2025. The Agreement shall be valid for a period of one (1) year with the option to renew for two (2) subsequent one (1) year periods, in the District’s sole discretion. Should the District wish to extend the Agreement, the District will advise the Contractor by January 31st of each renewal year.Conditions for Participation and Requirements to Request to ParticipatePrior to the evaluation of Quotations, the District will review each Quotation to determine if it complies with the submission instructions and mandatory requirements provided in this Opportunity. If, in the sole discretion of the District, a Quotation does not materially comply with the requirements set out in this Opportunity and/or the District determines that there is a material or perceived Conflict of Interest, the Quotation will be disqualified from further consideration. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the District may consider a non-compliant Quotation if the non-compliance is remedied in accordance with Section 3.11.Mandatory Criteria:1The Quotation must be received by the Closing Date & Time, in accordance with the requirements of Section 3.1 – Opportunity Schedule2The Quotation must be submitted electronically via the bids&tenders in accordance with the requirements of Section 3.9 – Submission of Quotations3The Quotation must include the following completed bids&tenders forms: Appendix C – Schedule of Quantities & Prices Appendix D – Approach & Equipment Appendix E – Corporate Experience & References The Contractor shall provide the District with proof of the following prior to beginning work on this project: A Business License that allows the Contractor to perform work in Summerland (either a Summerland Business License or an Inter-Community/Mobile Business License from another Okanagan-Similkameen municipality). WorkSafeBC Clearance Letter addressed to the District of Summerland, indicating that account is active and in good standing. Commercial General Liability Insurance coverage in the amount of $5,000,000 as per the requirements detailed in Appendix A – Form of Agreement. Automobile Liability Insurance coverage in the amount of $5,000,000 as per the requirements detailed in Appendix A – Form of Agreement.
