The Regional Animal Control Group offers an opportunity to address the gap in animal control services in the Towns of White City, Pilot Butte, Balgonie, and the RM of Edenwold No. 158. The objective is to establish an animal shelter or foster care services for lost, abandoned or stray animals ensuring their safe capture and housing.
This opportunity is open to organizations or individuals experienced in providing intermediate to long-term care for animals and equipped to handle animal control operations.
The successful party will collaborate closely with the Regional Animal Control Group to develop a long-range comprehensive implementation strategy. This strategy will encompass all aspects of the regional animal control service, including procedures for the effective management of animal control operations, encompassing rescue protocols, sheltering, fostering options, veterinary care, behavioral assessments, and adoption processes.
If necessary, the Animal Control Group will work with the successful party to help identify suitable locations for the development of a shelter.
