Description
The Aghoo – Lock 4 Blueway Retainment Works Project is located on the Shannon-Erne Waterway along the R204 between Aghoo Bridge and Lock 4, approximately 3km south of Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim. The retainment works are required to a 75m section of the existing Aghoo Bridge to Lock 4 Blueway where subsidence and undermining of the Shannon-Erne Waterway embankment has occurred, subsequently damaging sections of the Blueway. The works will include the removal of vegetation, installation of a sheet piled retaining wall and gabion baskets and reinstatement of the embankment up to finished path level. The works will involve working on water and land.
