BDC20-24/25 TO BIDDERS AND PLAN HOLDERS ON THE ABOVE REFERENCED PROJECT: PLEASE NOTE CONTENTS HEREIN AND INCLUDE, SIGNED, WITH YOUR BID SUBMISSION. It will be required that this addendum be signed in acknowledgment of receipt and that it be included with your Bid when same is submitted to Laurinda Micheels, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd., MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000. Failure to do so may be grounds for rejection of the Bid. _______________________________________ Signature of Contractor and Date The following statements supersede & supplement the corresponding items in the specifications & drawings: The bid submittal due date and bid posting date for this project have been postponed: BID SUBMITTAL DUE DATE:  No later than 3:30 PM (ET), Tuesday, November 5, 2024, to the below address: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd., MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000, Attention: Laurinda Micheels, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, (850) 245-2781.  (For hand delivery: Carr Building, Welcome Desk.) The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Also, the following RFI have been answered: 1. Question:  General Notes 2 refers to specifications of a park service biologist. Please provide details for revegetation. Answer:  Revegetate all disturbed areas with centipede sod, no mesh backing, unless otherwise specified by the Park. 2. Question: What is the quantity of riprap to remove and replace adjacent to the boat ramp? Answer: See sheets S100, S102 and S103 regarding measurements on rip rap adjacent to boat ramp. 3. Question: Please provide dimensions (height, width, length) of existing rip rap at the boat ramp. Answer: See sheets S100, S102 and S103 regarding measurements on rip rap adjacent to boat ramp. 4. Question: What is the required hardware for the interior joists to 2x10s? Answer: Hardware for the interior joists to the 2x10s will be 16d galvanized toe nails, two per joist to pile bent connection. 5. Question: The Preliminary Schedule of Values, ITB page 15, lists divisions that don't apply to this project. Is this the correct schedule of values sheet? Answer: Yes, use such divisions only if required. 6. Question: For Schedule of Values divisions that do not apply to this project should bidders leave the line item blank? For example - Division 8 Doors & Windows. Answer: Yes, use such divisions only if required. 7. Question: What area can the contractor use for staging? Answer: Per the Park Manager the entire boat ramp and park section will be closed off during demolition and construction. The parking lot areas nearest the boat ramp will be available for the contractor to stage all equipment. 8. Question: Will a local building permit be required? Answer: The contractor is responsible for contacting the local building authority to determine if a building permit is required. 9. Question: Is there an option for electronic submission of the bid package? Answer: No. In all other respects, the contract documents of which this is an Addendum, and attachments relative thereto, shall remain in full force and effect.
