Description
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada requires a researcher or research team to develop methods to characterize and assess the host ranges of candidate biological control agents for invasive pests from Europe and Asia that are established or are at high risk of establishing in Canada. Biological control programs for these pests require knowledge on the diversity, biology and host range of natural enemies in regions of origin (Asia, Europe) to ensure
decisions are made based on sound scientific information, which is required under Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and North American Plant Protection Organization (NAPPO) regulations governing biological control.
