Description
The CTW LTC Facility Replacement Project consists of replacing and expanding the existing programs at the site. The entire project will incorporate Indigenous engagement, gender equity, climate resiliency measures, greenhouse gas emission reductions, and a mass timber structure; additionally, it will obtain LEED Gold certification. Construction will be phased to minimize impact on existing operations.Phase 1 will be construction for 234 single-occupant resident rooms, all LTC support services, and Central Okanagan Plant Services program. Phase 1 Construction budget is estimated to be $130 MillionPhase 2 will be demolition of the existing 1975 building, and 2 wings of the 1985 building (Ethel Glen Unit), and then construction of an addition for relocated ADS, childcare program, and additional LTC-related support spaces. Once complete, the LTC program will have 233 residents in the new CTW.Phase 2 Construction budget is estimated to be $20 MillionProject Delivery method is Construction Management - CCDC 5B.The Services are expected to commence by January 2025 with construction estimated to complete by March 2029For the purposes of this procurement process, all enquiries must be made via Bids & Tenders.
