Description

The Corporation of the City of St. Thomas (the City) is issuing this Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) to solicit responses from interested, qualified, contractors (Respondents) who can undertake the construction of a new Animal Services Centre as noted in the RFPQ documents. Previous experience in delivering projects on time and budget are of the highest importance along with clear and demonstrated experience. Firms with less than five (5) years of experience under the current legal name will not be considered for this RFPQ. Construction will commence in Spring 2025 or earlier should the successful Respondent be able to. The project will consist of a new building built to current Animals for Research Act and the Pounds Act guidelines that include administrative staff, public, clinical, food preparation, intake, animal segregation, and outdoor exercise areas.This is the first stage in a two-stage process. It is anticipated that a request for tender will be issued in mid-October after the closing time of this RFPQ.
