Speakers
Bill Leach
Global Sales Director, John Smedley Limited
Bill joined John Smedley Ltd in June 2016 as the Global Sales Director, responsible for managing the company’s entire global sales function and developing the John Smedley business on a worldwide scale across retail, wholesale and e-commerce sectors.
With additional individual role responsibilities for the Asia-Pacific region, Bill has become well-versed in the luxury and fashion sectors in Japan, where John Smedley has been trading for over 110 years, and more recently in South Korea, China, Southeast Asia and Australia.
Bill’s top tip for trading internationally is to never venture into a new market without exploring the significant amount of support, knowledge and guidance available from DBT. “We could not have achieved any of our recent wins without doing so. It is very easy to simply travel, observe, report and repeat, but I promise you, spending time working with your DBT support network in advance of a trip doing will multiply your results many times over!”
