What you’ll learn

  • how to overcome any challenges and barriers to doing business with overseas customers
  • top tips for entering new international markets
  • the Department for Business and Trade support available for female-led businesses who wish to embark on a journey to selling overseas

Description

Want to learn about the opportunities and challenges for women in international trade? Statistics show that UK female-led businesses are still substantially less likely to sell their products and services internationally than those led by men... It is time to change that, and the UK Export Academy is here to help!

Ahead of October's Karren Brady's Women in Business & Tech Expo, join Helen Tonks MBE, Co-Founder of Hydraulics Online, and Elizabeth Vega OBE, Group CEO of Informed Solutions, and find out how they turned their business into a successful company selling internationally. This session will be full of fascinating insights and tips to help you take your business overseas, and you can listen to expert advice from a business owner like you.

Helen and Elizabeth will be answering key questions such as;

  • how they took their first steps in selling overseas
  • how they found their first international customers
  • their advice for how to choose an export market
  • how to tap into government support from the Department for Business and Trade

There will also be time for a Q&A session - so please bring along your burning questions for Helen and Elizabeth!
