Looking for a new market for your business? Come and explore how the CPTPP can help you gain access to sell to Latin American markets such as Chile, Mexico and Peru.

What you’ll learn

  • discover the business opportunities for UK businesses in Chile, Mexico and Peru
  • learn about the important provisions to consider when trading with CPTPP members
  • hear how CPTPP complements existing Free Trade Agreements

Description

With UK exports to current Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) members forecast to increase 65% by 2030, this partnership offers huge potential for UK trade with overseas markets. This is thanks to the fact that 99.9% of UK products will be eligible for tariff-free trade.

The 12 CPTPP countries have a combined population of over 500 million people – a young, highly educated, and entrepreneurial group which is creating new engines of growth and has growing demand for UK products.

The UK is the first European country to join the CPTPP, after it concluded negotiations on 31 March 2023.

In this session we’ll look at the key provisions of the CPTPP and how you can make the most of its opportunities to sell your products or services to the CPTPP’s Latin American members – Chile, Mexico, and Peru.

CPTPP creates huge opportunities for businesses in Latin America and the UK to boost their exports to some of the fastest growing markets on the globe. Joining CPTPP will bring the UK closer to this side of the world, with Chile, Mexico and Peru already importing a range of products from the UK, such as cars, beverages and pharmaceuticals.
