- how to move forward once a dangerous goods shipment has been identified
Description
Many people carry dangerous goods via road transport and are completely unaware what the implications are. The majority of dangerous goods transported in the UK in 2022 were flammable liquids, such as crude petroleum; fuel; and alcoholic beverages.
If it is your first time shipping dangerous goods, working with an experienced logistics provider is essential. They will assist with the complexities of shipping dangerous goods, including proper classification, labelling, packaging, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is in place. This helps mitigate risks and ensures that your exports reach their destination without issues.
In addition, you'll need to familiarise yourself with the various international regulations, such as the ADR for road transport in Europe or the IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) Code for sea transport.
Partnering with the right logistics provider will guide you through these steps and provide peace of mind as you expand into international markets.
In this session, we will raise your awareness of the rules regarding the transport of dangerous goods, and how to stay on the correct side of the legislation and law.
