Explore opportunities in Sri Lanka: a springboard to the Southeast Asia region

Want to unlock access to doing business in the Southeast Asia region of the world? Join us to explore the exciting opportunities to expand your business in the Sri Lanka.

What you’ll learn

  • understand the Sri Lankan market landscape
  • identify potential commercial growth opportunities across different sectors
  • hear why you should consider doing business in Sri Lanka

Description

Learn about ways you could grow your business in Sri Lanka, already a regional hub for many businesses in the South and Southeast Asia region. With better ease of market entry coupled with logistical connectivity and trading arrangements, Sri Lanka is a gateway to a market of 1.9 billion people in South Asia alone.

We're here to help you identify ways to grow your business in Sri Lanka, and use the country as a gateway to access wider regional markets.

Sri Lanka aims to be the gateway to the whole of Asia given its strategic location. Colombo port is the busiest port in South Asia with two thirds of all global container shipments passing within 10 nautical miles. This makes the country a great hub for manufacturing, warehousing, and transhipments, including freeport options.

In this session, you'll hear from representatives from the UK and Sri Lankan government and businesses who already work in Sri Lanka, about the commercial and sectoral opportunities for UK businesses to expand in the country, or for setting up business there.
