Description

This session will help you establish the suitability of AI technology for different text types and whether to use it for your global communications and export operations.

The latest AI-translation / MT translation systems are said to be around 80% accurate.

According to the study “How Accurate is AI Translation? A Data-Driven Study for Businesses (2025)” conducted by AST Language Services Ltd, in which they analysed 9,000 words from documents of different text types (creative, corporate, journalistic, persuasive, technical, legal) from various industries, on average per 500 words translated by AI, there will be 49 errors of varying severity. That’s almost one error in every 10 words.

In this session we take a deep dive to find out how accurate AI translation is and what this means in terms of AI’s fitness for purpose for a range of business translation and international communications scenarios. We will also examine the latest advancements in AI translation models.
