This initiative will transform healthcare, improve infrastructure, and reduce administrative burdens for teachers, while boosting productivity by up to 1.5% annually - potentially adding £47 billion to the economy each year.
The UK government is creating dedicated AI Growth Zones (AIGZs), areas with enhanced access to power and support for planning approvals, to accelerate the build out of AI infrastructure on UK soil

The UK has firmly positioned itself as a global leader in AI, exemplified by hosting the world’s first AI Safety Summit and launching the UK’s AI Security Institute. With significant investments in AI research, including a £100 million investment in AI research and £80 million allocated by the EPSRC for innovative research hubs, the UK fosters advancements across various industries.
