UK's Crown Estate has distributed the first funds from the £50m ($63.7m) Supply Chain Accelerator to 13 organisations across England, Wales, and Scotland. The Accelerator fund was established to accelerate and de-risk the early-stage development of projects linked to offshore wind and the UK's domestic supply chain.

Emitters in Europe using offshore CO2 storage would benefit from a 20% cost saving when making effective use of UK's carbon storage sites.
The UK has 1/3 of European storage capacities, estimated 78mtpa. UK storage sites are the most cost-effective carbon storage sites across Europe. According to the recent CCSA report, cross border flow across Europe can reduce costs by 20%.

The Prime Minister launched the Clean Industries Bonus (CIB) for offshore wind from Allocation Round 7 (AR7, 2025).
The Clean Industries Bonus will create the conditions for clean energy industries to thrive in the UK and elsewhere. The CIB criteria provides extra CfD funding (£27m per GW) if a developer invests in supply chain companies based in ex-industrial parts of the UK designated for regeneration. If 7-8 GW of projects applied in 2025, the budget would scale up to approximately £200m.
