The National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) brings together businesses, academics, and government to unlock the full potential of quantum computing.
The NQCC is set to harness the power of quantum computing to solve real-world problems that affect both individuals and industries and will focus on key areas where quantum computing can offer impactful solutions.
The NQCC will help deliver breakthroughs in AI, energy, healthcare and more, becoming home to new quantum computers, to push the boundaries of what is possible with the technology.

Initiatives and Support
The National Quantum Technologies Programme (NQTP), established in 2014, spearheads the UK's quantum endeavours with over £1 billion invested. NQTP has established four hubs involving over 15 universities, 130 industry partners, research institutions, and government departments, fostering collaboration and innovation.
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) plays a key role in NQTP, funding critical research and contributing a further £94 million over the next five years.

Research & Development
The UK is home to two existing Centres for Doctoral Training (CDTs) with opportunities for universities and industry to collaborate on research projects.
The UK aims to fund an additional 1000 postgraduate research students, on top of the 470 funded to date, in quantum-related disciplines by 2033, further strengthening its talent pipeline.

The National Quantum Technology Hubs are located in Oxford, Birmingham, Glasgow, and York. These hubs focus on various aspects of quantum technology, including quantum computing, sensing, imaging, and communications. They support collaboration between academia, industry, and government to accelerate the commercialisation of quantum technologies.

Quantum Computing and Simulation Centre (QCSC)
The Quantum Computing and Simulation Centre (QCSC) is based at the Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire. The QCSC is involved in developing quantum computing hardware and software, as well as exploring applications in various industries such as pharmaceuticals, finance, and materials science.

The London Quantum Network aims to create a quantum-secure communication infrastructure in the city.
